Senior Java Microservices Developer

Role Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Microservice Developer for a full-time, on-site role located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performing microservices. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing application performance, managing API integrations, and ensuring high-quality code standards through testing and debugging. The role also entails staying up-to-date on industry trends to implement innovative solutions and support the organization’s digital transformation goals.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in building customer-focused, java base microservices.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Spring boot, Kubernetes and microservices architecture is a must.
• Experience with Quarkus framework is a big plus.
• Experience working with Event Driven Architecture using Kafka is a big plus.
• Proficiency in java and expert in microservice architecture
• Experience in Designing and architecting microservice based java applications
• Experience developing and delivering using Agile methodologies
• Experience building, shipping, and maintaining reliable and scalable backend services on a container-based platform preferably Openshift
• Able to both identify and improve poor performing code or database queries
• Experience and a strong opinion about unit testing, code review, CI/CD
• Understanding of software architecture, engineering principles, design patterns, object-oriented-programming(OOP), frameworks and technologies
• Strong communication skills (oral, verbal and listening) as well as the ability to influence the broader engineering team and understand their points of view
• Comfortable with managing strong personalities and maintaining a good relationship with our clients.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn quickly and work independently
