The Artificial Intelligence Extended Zone team is revolutionizing artificial intelligence infrastructure, taking Azure native high-performance computing and storage to next-generation cloud graphics processing unit hubs across the globe. With access to hundreds of thousands of state-of-the-art graphics processing units, we are enabling Azure to deliver the next generation of model training and inferencing like never before. Responsibilities
- Independently uses artificial intelligence tools and practices across the software development lifecycle.
- Understands customer and user requirements for a project or product sub‑section.
- Leads architectural discussions by testing design hypotheses and developing complex specifications.
- Independently creates test strategies that ensure solution quality.
- Collaborates with internal and external teams to identify dependencies and achieve shared goals.
- Writes extensible, maintainable, well‑tested, secure, and performant code, using debugging tools to validate assumptions and improve quality.
- Drives automation in production deployments and implements security standards to strengthen solution hardening across all layers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, OR Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, OR Python
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
