Overview:
As a Senior Network Operations Engineer, you will support and maintain global network environments across data centers, cloud platforms, and WAN infrastructure, with a focus on enterprise routing, switching, load balancing, and firewall technologies. You will partner with engineering teams to implement and validate network changes, ensure network stability and performance, and maintain network integrity through proactive monitoring and configuration management. You will also play a key role in incident management- responding to issues, performing root cause analysis, and communicating effectively with stakeholders- while contributing to post-incident reviews and ongoing improvements.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
- Strong commitment to incorporating security into daily work and decision-making
- 3+ years of relevant networking experience
- 3+ years of experience configuring and managing Next-Generation Firewall policies
- 3+ years of experience with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
- Experience with enterprise routing and switching technologies (data center and campus)
- Working knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP/RMON, and RDP
- Experience or working knowledge of load balancing technologies
- Experience with VLANs and Spanning Tree
- Understanding of DNS and DHCP
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve network issues
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively while managing multiple priorities
- Willingness to support occasional off-hours work (schedule adjustments made to maintain a 40-hour work week)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Working knowledge of Python
- Experience with Ansible Tower
- Understanding of SD-WAN
- Experience with network security technologies such as VPN, IPSEC, and SSL
- Experience with IPAM solutions
- Exposure to software-defined networking, including spine/leaf architectures
- Understanding of Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- Knowledge of SSL certificates
- Basic experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms
