Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Remote Junior Front-End Developer Specialist to join our team in a full-time, fully remote role. This position is ideal for an early-career front-end developer who is ready to deepen their technical skills, take ownership of front-end tasks, and contribute to real-world digital products.

As a Remote Junior Front-End Developer Specialist, you will work closely with senior developers, designers, and product teams to build, optimize, and maintain user-facing components across Loyal To Cumbria’s platform. You will play an active role in improving performance, usability, and consistency across front-end features.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Development & Implementation

• Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces
• Implement designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in line with best practices
• Build and maintain reusable UI components and layouts
  
  

Feature Support & Optimization

• Assist with implementing new features and enhancements
• Optimize front-end code for performance, accessibility, and usability
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end bugs and layout issues
  
  

Collaboration & Team Integration

• Work closely with designers to accurately translate UI/UX designs into functional components
• Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and dynamic data
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
  
  

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Test front-end features across browsers and devices
• Ensure consistency and reliability across different screen sizes and environments

Learning & Skill Development

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Solid foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility basics, and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote environment
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow as a front-end developer
