Job Description
At our Siemens Foundational Technologies Development Center we are focused on a product development including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0.
We are a team working to develop a new generation of low voltage switchgear. Low voltage switchgear such as soft starters, monitoring and safety relays and more can be found in industry and modern buildings. Our responsibility is to find innovative solutions for industrial communications and their integration into new and existing products. Your task will be:
- Embedded software development in C and C++ on ARM platform
- Clarification of requirements and development of unit tests
- Designing solutions in collaboration with the architect and product manager
- Debugging and fixing existing code
- Creating documentation
- Collaboration in an international agile team
- Technical education or adequate experience in the field
- Knowledge of C and/or C++
- Experience with development and debugging on embedded platforms
- Knowledge of code quality assurance principles
- Experience with the GIT versioning system
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as OPC-UA, PROFINET etc. is an advantage
