Senior AI Engineer

We’re partnering with a global investment bank seeking a senior AI engineer in Singapore. This team builds foundational platforms and tools that empower thousands of developers worldwide. They’re investing heavily in AI-driven engineering systems, creating intelligent tools that transform how software is developed, tested, and deployed.

About the Role

As an AI Engineering Lead, you’ll design and implement next-generation platforms integrating agentic AI, knowledge graphs, and developer productivity systems. You’ll work at the intersection of AI, developer experience, and large-scale distributed systems, partnering with global engineering, product, and AI/ML teams to drive measurable impact on productivity and code quality. Open to relocation.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop and build AI-powered systems to automate and enhance software development workflows.
• Lead the design and evolution of knowledge graph and retrieval systems powering enterprise-scale Generative AI applications.
• Develop developer productivity platforms and intelligent code-review or workflow automation tools used globally.
• Integrate LLMs and AI agents into engineering workflows to streamline coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across engineering, product, and infrastructure to deliver scalable solutions.
• Promote best practices in software quality, observability, and security.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one of: Python, Java, Go, or C++.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, distributed systems, and SDLC best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, LLMs, or developer tooling platforms (e.g., Backstage, Port).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Designing or integrating knowledge graphs, RAG pipelines, or AI-driven search systems.
• Exposure to DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or agentic automation frameworks.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
