The Cloud Architect will design and govern these cloud solutions, ensuring security, performance, and reliability for business-critical applications across multiple European markets.
Key responsibilities

- Define and maintain reference architectures and patterns for SAP on Azure, data platforms, and digital applications, ensuring standardization and reuse across regions.
- Contribute to migration and modernization programs, moving legacy and on-premise workloads to Azure and AWS, including web applications, marketing sites, and internal platforms.
- Collaborate with product, data, and digital teams to architect cloud-native solutions for eCommerce, D2C, and consumer engagement, including integrations with Google Cloud-based commerce platforms.
- Set and enforce best practices for infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and automated operations (Terraform, Ansible, Azure Automation, DevOps tooling).
- Define and implement security, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery architectures in line with European and country-specific regulations, leveraging Azure security services, AWS regional capabilities, and Commvault or equivalent.
- Help project teams, including guidance to cloud engineers, DevOps, and external consultants, and participate in architecture boards and design reviews.
Required experience:
- 7+ years in IT infrastructure / cloud roles, including at with at least 2 years as a Cloud Architect or Senior Cloud Engineer in large, international environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure (core compute, storage, networking, Azure SQL, Azure Automation, monitoring), including landing zones and enterprise-scale setups.
- Practical experience with AWS for hosting applications and websites (EC2, S3, SNS, basic networking) and understanding of multi-region DR setups within the EU.
- Exposure to Google Cloud in the context of digital, data, or commerce platforms (e.g. Kubernetes/GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Apigee, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Strong background in infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell/Bash, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, Git-based workflows).
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent architectural documentation and diagramming skills, able to translate complex cloud designs into clear deliverables for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable working with distributed teams across France and wider Europe.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; French is a strong plus for working with local and regional stakeholders.
