IT Systems Manager – relocate to work in the Cayman Islands!

We are seeking an experienced, VMware & Microsoft certified, IT professional who would have interest in relocating to live and work in the Cayman Islands on a full-time/employee basis.

Reporting to the organization’s CFO, and acting in a fully hands-on technical capacity as the primary internal IT resource, the IT Manager will be responsible for the overall performance, security and resiliency of all hardware, software and networking technologies at a large retail location (and possibly one or more related companies).

Our client seeks a self-starter who has demonstrated a commitment to ongoing training and industry certifications. Current VMware and Microsoft certifications are required.

At minimum, the employer seeks the following certifications - which will also be part of immigration/work permit requirements:

• Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or MCSE Core Server 2016 certification
• VMware (VCP6 or newer) certification
• Microsoft 365 and/or Windows 11 certification
• Microsoft Exchange certification (or willingness to obtain quickly) would be an advantage

Ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of broad, hands-on professional systems administration and management experience that covers as much as possible of:

• Windows Server 2016/2022, Hyper-converged infrastructure, VMware ESXi 8 and vSphere clusters
• Microsoft 365, Exchange, Endpoint management, SQL Server, Retail management, timekeeping and accounting applications
• Business Continuity/Disaster Recover planning, Veeam Backup, VMware Site Recovery Manager, site-to-site replication
• Switches, Wireless AP’s, Firewalls, VPN, UC Telephony
• Retail POS system and stations, desktop / laptop workstations, multifunction printers
• Building security systems, IP CCTV, lighting controls, IP CCTV systems
• Coordinating and supervising the work of third-party IT service providers

Please note that this is a full-time role on-site in George Town, Grand Cayman. Due to the international move required, we are seeking a highly portable candidate who can relocate relatively easily.
