Job Description
Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) is a national, faith-based nonprofit legal defense organization dedicated to defending religious freedom, parental rights, and the sanctity of life—at no cost to those that we serve.
PJI is seeking a highly skilled, creative, and mission-driven Creative Producer & Social Media Manager to join our marketing team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a multitalented creative professional who can concept, produce, film, edit, publish, and scale compelling digital content across all major social platforms.
This role goes far beyond coordination. The successful candidate will serve as a primary creative engine and social growth driver for the organization—owning the full lifecycle of content creation and helping build PJI’s digital presence from the ground up. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, moves quickly from idea to execution, and is passionate about using storytelling and media to advance a meaningful mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage all PJI social media platforms, developing and executing strategies to grow audiences, increase engagement, and expand national reach.
- Build and scale social platforms with a demonstrated ability to grow accounts from zero to significant followings through data-driven strategy and platform-native content.
- Conceptualize, script, film, direct, and edit short-form and long-form video content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube (long-form and Shorts), Facebook, X, and others.
- Rapidly edit high-quality social videos optimized for performance, retention, and shareability.
- Draft all scripts, hooks, captions, and calls-to-action for video and social content.
- Lead all aspects of video production, including pre-production planning, lighting, filming, audio capture, and post-production.
- Manage in-studio and in-office production setups, including cameras, lighting, microphones, and basic audio engineering.
- Design compelling graphics and visual assets for digital and print use, including thumbnails, social graphics, and promotional materials, ensuring brand consistency.
- Book, coordinate, and prepare guests for PJI’s weekly television and video programming, including pre-interview research and production logistics.
- Direct on-camera talent and guests to ensure clear messaging, strong performances, and alignment with PJI’s mission and values.
- Collaborate with the marketing team and leadership to translate complex legal issues into accessible, compelling visual storytelling.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns and maintain organized workflows using task management platforms such as Asana.
- Track and analyze content performance using platform analytics and insights, adjusting creative strategy to maximize growth and engagement.
- Maintain consistent brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all platforms.
- Stay current on social media trends, tools, and best practices to keep PJI competitive and culturally relevant.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
