Job Description
Title: Database Engineer/DBA
Location: 100% Remote with willingness to travel (if required)
Job Type: Contract
The customer is specifically looking for candidates with experience or hands-on exposure to GE Grid OS products, including:
• DMS S6, Grid OS Connect,
Additionally, we are looking for candidates with expertise in the Power and Energy domain, as this is a key requirement for these roles.
Roles and Responsibilities
1.Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Engineer or DBA in high-availability, high-performance environments.
2.Experience with Real-Time Historian databases (OSIsoft PI, GE Historian).
3.Direct experience with real-time applications (SCADA, EMS, ADMS).
4.Performance Tuning – Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement query optimization and partitioning strategies.
Experience
1.Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Engineer or DBA in high-availability, high-performance environments.
2.Maintenance – Perform regular patching, upgrades, backup/recovery, and capacity planning for relational and time-series databases.
3.Data Modeling – Collaborate with integration teams to model data structures for DMS S6 and enterprise systems (GIS, Historian, AMI/MDM).
