Quality Control Manager โ Mission-Critical Construction
Location: Remote (Nationwide Travel Required)
An award-winning general contractor with an outstanding reputation in complex commercial builds is seeking a Quality Control Leader to drive excellence across their mission-critical construction projects. With a deep commitment to innovation, safety, and superior build quality, this organization is expanding their national footprint and looking for a seasoned expert to uphold and evolve their rigorous quality assurance standards.
In this high-impact, fully remote role, you will shape quality programs across multiple high-tech and data center projects, ensuring delivery meets or exceeds industry and client expectations. Youโll work alongside an elite team of construction professionals and play a key role in guiding quality from preconstruction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project-specific QA/QC plans to ensure alignment with technical specifications and contract requirements.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and compliance checks throughout all phases of construction.
- Manage documentation protocols, including inspection reports, audit records, and corrective action logs.
- Ensure test results are properly recorded, analyzed, and communicated to project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with field teams to implement best practices in quality control and proactive problem solving.
- Serve as liaison with third-party inspectors, regulatory agencies, and client representatives.
- Oversee equipment calibration schedules and ensure proper operation of testing tools.
- Provide leadership during internal quality audits and cross-functional quality initiatives.
- Support continuous education through seminars, industry publications, and mentorship of junior staff.
- Participate in scheduling, budget tracking, and coordination with project managers and subcontractors.
Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years in construction quality control, with demonstrated expertise in complex commercial or mission-critical builds.
- Bachelorโs degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and construction documentation.
- Skilled in interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and construction specs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
- High attention to detail, with a proactive approach to quality corrections and documentation.
- Collaborative communicator, comfortable working across multiple stakeholders including clients and inspectors.
