We’re hiring an AI Architect for a fast-growing, global technology (fintech) company operating at scale in a highly complex, transaction-heavy environment. This role sits at the cutting edge of AI-driven automation and augmentation, with a strong focus on LLMs, agentic systems, and scalable AI architecture.

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how AI is embedded across the organisation, working closely with data science, engineering, and product teams to design and deploy production-grade AI systems with real-world impact.

The role

As an AI Architect, you will:

• Architect, design, and oversee scalable AI and LLM-based systems used in critical production environments
• Partner closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product leaders to deliver end-to-end AI solutions
• Evaluate, introduce, and integrate emerging AI frameworks, tools, and technologies
• Define and champion best practices for AI system design, ensuring robustness, scalability, and maintainability
• Oversee deployment and operations using Python, LLM frameworks, containerisation, and cloud services
• Set a long-term vision for AI adoption across the wider technology organisation
• Create frameworks, training, and standards to enable teams to safely and effectively adopt AI

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Python and modern AI/ML systems
• Strong experience with LLM frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex) and interactive AI applications
• Deep understanding of LLM application architecture, prompt engineering, and agentic patterns
• Proven experience designing for scalability (parallelism, caching, async systems, decoupling, routing)
• Strong background in containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes or similar)
• Solid DevOps mindset, including CI/CD, Git, and infrastructure-as-code
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex AI concepts to varied audiences

Nice to have

• Experience with evaluation and observability of generative AI systems
• Exposure to production-grade AI governance, monitoring, and reliability patterns
