About The Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and developing scalable, reliable, and user-centric applications that support Versant’s innovative platforms. The ideal candidate is someone who excels in dynamic startup-like environments, has a passion for learning new technologies, and is enthusiastic about utilizing SaaS and low-code/no-code solutions to accelerate development cycles. Your contributions will directly impact our product offerings and help shape the future of our technology landscape.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency in backend development using languages such as Java, Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Strong skills in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience in designing scalable microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications include exposure to GenAI tools, SaaS platforms, low-code/no-code tools, serverless architectures, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation), monitoring solutions (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK), and experience in modernizing legacy systems. A background in media or entertainment domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive full-stack solutions addressing real business needs.
• Implement scalable, fault-tolerant microservices and modern front-end applications that enhance user experience.
• Leverage SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms where appropriate to expedite development and deployment processes.
• Participate actively in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions to maintain high-quality code standards.
• Write secure, high-performance, and maintainable code adhering to best practices.
• Work closely with product managers and architecture teams to ensure alignment with technical and business objectives.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into existing systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting complex issues within distributed environments, ensuring system reliability and performance.
