This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) in India.
This role offers the opportunity to ensure software quality across web and mobile platforms in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You will develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites, collaborate closely with developers, UX designers, and project managers, and play a critical role in delivering reliable and high-performing software. The position emphasizes both technical proficiency and analytical problem-solving, providing the chance to shape the testing strategy, improve processes, and contribute to the overall user experience. Working remotely, you will operate within cross-functional teams across time zones, helping implement innovative testing solutions and maintain software excellence.
Accountabilities
- Develop, verify, and validate automated system test cases for web-based and mobile applications.
- Create and execute test plans, test scripts, and database validations to ensure product functionality.
- Validate end-to-end features and enhancements, identifying and resolving technical and business issues.
- Collaborate with developers, project managers, and UX designers to implement effective testing strategies.
- Participate in cross-functional discussions to improve testing frameworks, tools, and processes.
- Maintain high-quality documentation of test cases, results, and issues for team reference.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of QA engineering experience, or equivalent 6+ years of experience without a degree.
- 3+ years of programming experience in Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
- 2+ years of web automation experience using Page Object Model (POM), with proficiency in Cypress.
- Experience in API testing (manual and automated) for web, backend, and mobile applications using REST/RestAssured and microservices.
- Familiarity with tools such as MySQL, Postman, and Eclipse IDE.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Preferred: Experience in e-commerce environments, mobile automation with Appium, Selenium with Cucumber, or WebDriver IO + Mocha + Chai.
