DevOps Engineer - SC Cleared - Remote
Remote (UK based only), 3 months initially, current, active SC clearance essential
A leading UK Government Department is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support a high-impact programme focused on secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. This role is fully remote (UK based), and requires an engineer with strong hands-on experience across AWS, IaC, CI/CD, and modern automation tooling.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Develop and optimise pipelines within GitLab CI/CD
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- Support secure, scalable deployments across AWS environments
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to ensure best-practice cloud governance
- Troubleshoot and optimise Unix/Linux systems and API integrations
Essential Skills
- Strong experience with Terraform
- Deep knowledge of AWS services and architecture
- GitLab and CI/CD pipeline development
- Monitoring, observability, and security best practices
- Solid Unix/Linux engineering background
- Experience working with and integrating APIs
Desired Skills
- Python Scripting
- Exposure to Big Data environments
- Experience with Prometheus & Grafana
- Bash Scripting
