Cloud Engineer – GCP Migration (FinTech)
6-Month Contract | Remote | $80/hour
We’re supporting a fast-growing FinTech business delivering a large-scale migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role sits within a hands-on cloud delivery team focused on building secure, scalable infrastructure as part of a critical transformation programme.
Responsibilities
- Deliver cloud and application migrations to GCP
- Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform (IaC)
- Deploy and operate containerised workloads on Kubernetes / GKE
- Work closely with architects, DevOps, and security teams
- Support dev, test, and production environments
- Ensure reliability, performance, and security best practices
Required Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP
- Proven Terraform experience in production
- Kubernetes / GKE experience on live environments
- Background in cloud migration or platform modernisation projects
- Solid understanding of networking and Linux
- Experience working in fast-paced, delivery-focused teams
Nice to Have
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Cloud Build)
- Monitoring & observability tools
- GCP IAM and security exposure
- FinTech or regulated environment experience
Contract Details
- Rate: $80 USD per hour
- Duration: 6 months (likely extension)
- Location: Fully remote
- Start: ASAP
