Embedded Engineer / Sunbury / Contract / Hybrid / Outside IR35
DataBuzz are recruiting an experienced Embedded Engineer to join a leading organisation working on next-generation embedded devices. You will work independently on scalable embedded platforms, contributing to firmware development, hardware integration, and system-level debugging.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- 4+ years’ hands-on experience with Embedded C++
- Strong knowledge of microcontrollers and SoCs (ESP32, i.MX8/i.MX9)
- Experience working with RTOS environments (FreeRTOS or similar)
- Firmware development, driver integration, and system debugging
- Experience with hardware communication protocols: SPI, I2C, RS232, RS485, Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software
- Experience using GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
