In-House Designer (African Market Focus)

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a talented and versatile In-House Designer to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate has strong experience designing for the African market, understands cultural nuances across regions, and can translate brand and business needs into compelling visual solutions. This role works closely with marketing, product, and leadership teams to deliver high-quality, consistent design across all touch points.

Where: Anywhere in Africa or anywhere in the world but with experience in African market.

Your Impact Zone

• Develop and execute visual designs for digital and print assets (marketing campaigns, social media, websites, presentations, packaging, video making, animation etc.)
• Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external communications
• Adapt designs to resonate with diverse African markets, audiences, and cultural contexts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and marketing objectives
• Take ownership of design projects from concept to final execution
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Stay up to date with design trends, particularly within Africa and emerging markets

Your Toolkit for the Role

• Proven experience as a designer (graphic, visual, or brand design), preferably in an in-house role
• Strong experience working with or designing for African markets
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
• Strong proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and/or Figma
• Solid understanding of branding, typography, layout, and visual storytelling
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
• Video editing/animation creation
