Role Overview:
This role leads and shapes complex, security-related business processes, and systems, with a strong emphasis on enterprise AI security, governance, and risk management. The position defines and implements the organization’s AI security and governance strategy, ensuring AI systems are designed, deployed, and operated securely, ethically, and in compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and define enterprise AI security and governance strategy, including AI threat modeling, secure model development standards, and end-to-end AI lifecycle governance
- Shape and embed security-by-design principles across AI/ML systems, data pipelines, and MLOps/LLMOps platforms
- Act as the primary liaison between Information Security, AI/ML engineering, DevSecOps, enterprise architecture, legal, compliance, and non-technical business stakeholders
- Translate AI security risks and technical requirements (e.g., adversarial ML, model drift, data poisoning, regulatory obligations) into clear business impacts, policy guidance, and executive-level messaging
- Provide leadership and oversight for large, high-visibility, cross-functional AI initiatives, including AI risk assessments, governance forums, and security reviews
- Represent AI security in enterprise governance committees, executive briefings, and regulatory or audit discussions
- Oversee AI red-teaming, threat assessments, and control validation to ensure AI systems meet security, privacy, and compliance requirements
- Ensure enterprise alignment with major AI and security frameworks, including NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001, and related standards
- Partner with technology and business leaders to ensure AI-enabled solutions deliver measurable business value while managing risk appropriately
Additional Emphasis for Role Targeting:
- Requires deep AI/ML technical acumen combined with senior cybersecurity leadership experience
- Proven ability to build AI governance and security programs from the ground up, not just operate existing InfoSec processes
Strong understanding of:
- Adversarial machine learning and model protection techniques
- AI/ML infrastructure security
- MLOps and LLMOps security controls
- Emerging AI risk, ethics, and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to influence strategy and execution across large, complex, enterprise-wide initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
- 12+ years of experience
- Extensive experience working at the intersection of business functions and information technology
- Strong background in business process analysis and re-engineering
