Senior Storage & Compute Engineer (VMWare Cloud) - £65,000-£70,000 – London/Remote

Due to exciting growth we are looking to bring on a Senior Storage & Compute Engineer (VMWare Cloud) to join a high performing Storage & Compute team during a period of exciting change. We are migrating from on-prem Data Centres to Cloud hosted Azure and the Senior Storage & Compute Engineer (VMWare Cloud) be heavily involved as well as maintaining and supporting the existing environments.

On a daily basis the Senior Storage & Compute Engineer (VMware Cloud) will be responsible for:

• Manage and maintain VMware estate encompassing Virtual Servers, Networks, Desktops
• Manage and maintain S&C hardware estate including ESXi Hosts/Blades, ESXi Chassis, SAN hardware
• Act as the Subject matter expert in both Storage and Compute technologies
• Capacity Management for both Storage and Compute
• 3rd line IT support for infrastructure administration/maintenance/design
• Solution design and implementation
• Disaster recovery/Business continuity testing and invocation.
• Compliance with security policies and assistance with development of adherence to best practice
• System and performance monitoring/tuning and orchestration.
  

To be considered as our new Senior Storage & Compute Engineer (VMWare Cloud) you should have experience managing a similar enterprise level VMWare Estate including upgrades, fixes. You must have an understanding of cloud infrastructure in particular VMWare Cloud. You should also have knowledge and expertise in the design, configuration and deployments of storage technologies in an enterprise environment

This is initially a 12 month FTC. For the right Senior Storage & Compute Engineer (VMWare Cloud) there will be an excellent salary and benefits package. The role is a largely remote with only 1 day a month needed in the office for big meetings. Interested? Apply now for an immediate interview.
