Senior Cloud Security Engineer
Location – Fully Remote (UK, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands)
Salary - £110-120k + Bonus + Benefits
Newly created role for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer who understands Kubernetes inside out, to join a major UK Fintech firm who are revolutionising the Payments industry and building something the Financial Markets ecosystem has never seen before.
Reporting into the Global Head of Security Engineering and working alongside a team of some of the most talented Security Engineers, you will be responsible for building and running defensive security controls for highly available multi-cloud (AWS, Azure AND GCP) payment systems; balancing the need for low latency and highest levels of security.
For this particular role, they need someone who is a genuine SME and has been working almost exclusively with Kubernetes for the last 2+ years developing heavily customized multi-cluster environment; preferably with a knowledge and understanding of Financial Markets and its low-latency requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain defensive security controls across multi-cloud payment environments.
- Act as the technical SME and authority on Kubernetes requirements, building and deploying complex, multi-cluster environments.
- Work closely with wider platform, application and research engineering teams to advise on building, maintaining and expanding security controls.
Key Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience dedicated to Kubernetes Security Engineering, developing complex multi-cluster environments within a wider, high-performing Security Engineering department.
- Extensive Linux command line experience and knowledge.
- Broader understanding of wider cloud-native security engineering requirements and associated tooling – IAC (terraform), CI/CD pipelines, containers, etc
- In-depth knowledge of at least 1 public cloud and its associated best security practices and hardening techniques.
- Expertise in at least 1 coding/scripting language – Golang a huge advantage.
