About inTakt
inTakt is a web-based platform for planning and coordinating large construction projects. Our product is used by planners and field crews to manage complex schedules and on-site work. We are a small team focused on clarity, usability, and shipping quality software.
The Role
We’re looking for a Product Designer to work closely with our Design Lead on core product areas. You’ll turn requirements and early concepts into clear, build-ready designs.
This role is suited to a mid-level designer who can own defined features, iterate quickly, and improve through feedback. You’ll work across UX and UI, contributing designs that go into production.
Construction experience is not required, but you should be comfortable learning complex workflows and unfamiliar domains.
What You’ll Work On
- Scheduling Views: Design clear, scannable interfaces for large, multi-phase project timelines.
- Visual Planning Tools: Design interactions to visualize work across time and space using construction drawings directly in the browser.
- Mobile & Field Interfaces: Adapt detailed desktop views into responsive layouts for tablets and phones used on active job sites.
- Design System: Use and extend a component library to support consistency, speed, and visual quality.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Portfolio: Experience designing real, shipped products. B2B or SaaS experience is a plus.
- Figma Proficiency: Produce clean, well-structured files developers can build from.
- Product Execution: Take a defined problem, explore solutions, iterate with feedback, and deliver build-ready designs.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working closely with a design lead and developers.
- Willingness to Learn: Curious about how construction teams work and open to learning new workflows.
Why Join
- Real Ownership: Design features that ship and are actively used.
- Growth: Close collaboration and mentorship from a design lead.
- Remote First: Fully distributed, remote team.
- Practical Impact: Build tools used to manage real construction projects.
