๐ฏ Role Summary
The Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, automating, and evolving secure, scalable, and highly available cloud platforms that support a large-scale microservices ecosystem.
This role is Azure-first, with exposure to Azure Government and limited workloads on AWS, enabling engineering teams to deliver software efficiently through Kubernetes-based platforms, strong cloud governance, and reliable infrastructure aligned with security and compliance requirements.
๐ Advanced English (C1/C2) required โ daily collaboration with teams in the U.S. and Canada.
๐ง Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes (AKS).
- Define network architectures, autoscaling strategies, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Develop and standardize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform with reusable modules.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual work and improve operational consistency.
- Implement policy-as-code using tools such as OPA, Conftest, and tfsec.
- Build reusable platform components to enhance developer experience and accelerate delivery.
- Collaborate closely with development teams on CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and platform reliability.
- Implement cloud governance, identity, access control, and secrets management.
- Work with Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identities, PIM, Azure Key Vault, and HashiCorp Vault.
- Design and operate observability solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, Elasticsearch, OpenTelemetry).
- Diagnose and resolve incidents in production and pre-production environments.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation in Confluence.
- Collaborate daily with distributed teams across the U.S. and Canada.
๐ Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes (AKS) at scale.
Proven experience building reusable Terraform modules.
Solid knowledge of Helm and advanced Kubernetes concepts.
Experience with:
Azure networking (VNETs, Private Link, Load Balancers, Firewalls, WAF).
CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitOps).
Observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, OpenTelemetry).
Security and identity (Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identities, PIM).
Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
English level C1 or C2, written and spoken.
