🚀 We’re hiring: Data Engineer (Energy & Data Platform)
At Fyld, we are looking for a Data Engineer to join a large-scale Digital & Data organization operating in the energy sector. You will be part of a modern, agile environment where data is a core business asset, supporting strategic ambitions, innovation, and regulatory compliance.
You will join a Product Team within a mature Data Organization and help build data products that create real value for business stakeholders and customers.
- Design and build data pipelines, efficient storage structures, and materialized views across multiple analytical technologies
- Develop data exchange endpoints for data consumers
- Contribute to data governance activities, such as data modeling, lineage, glossary, and data quality
- Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver reusable, integrated data solutions
- Actively contribute to testing, DevOps practices, and technical documentation
- Continuously challenge existing solutions with a product-oriented and improvement-driven mindset
What we’re looking for
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in at least 2 of the following areas:
- SQL Server
- Azure data services (Databricks, Data Factory, Azure Functions, Stream/Log Analytics, Azure DevOps)
- Python development for data pipelines and transformations (Databricks environment)
- Analytical data platforms and storage technologies
- Experience with Power BI
- Open mindset to learn new technologies (e.g. Redis, RabbitMQ, Neo4j, Apache Arrow, etc.)
- Strong interaction skills with business and technical stakeholders
- Willingness to contribute to testing, documentation, and DevOps principles
- SAP data integration experience is a plus (not mandatory)
- Strong analytical thinking and a pragmatic, no-nonsense approach
- Fluent English (mandatory)
- French, German, or Dutch (nice to have)
📍 Location: Belgium
