About the Role

We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Manager who combines strong content planning skills with hands-on video editing expertise. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to grow and engage audiences through compelling short-form and long-form video content while managing day-to-day social media operations.

You will own the social media presence across key platforms, create and edit high-quality video content, and optimize posts for reach, engagement, and brand consistency. The ideal candidate understands social media trends, platform algorithms, and storytelling through video.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Management

• Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with brand and marketing goals
• Manage and grow social media accounts across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, X/Twitter as applicable)
• Plan, schedule, and publish content using social media management tools
• Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategy based on analytics and insights
• Stay up to date with platform trends, algorithm changes, and best practices

Video Content Creation & Editing

• Edit short-form and long-form video content for social media (Reels, TikTok, Shorts, YouTube, LinkedIn video)
• Create engaging videos using strong hooks, pacing, transitions, and captions
• Repurpose long-form content into multiple social-ready assets
• Optimize video formats, aspect ratios, and lengths per platform
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, or content creators to maintain brand consistency

Content & Community Engagement

• Write compelling captions aligned with brand voice and tone
• Manage comments, messages, and audience engagement
• Support campaign launches, promotions, and content initiatives
• Ensure consistent posting cadence and content quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing social media accounts for brands, creators, or businesses
• Proven experience editing video content for social platforms
• Strong understanding of social media trends, audience behavior, and performance metrics
• Ability to plan content calendars and execute independently
• Experience growing engagement and reach through organic social strategies
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Technical Skills

• Video Editing Tools: Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar
• Social Platforms: Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook
• Social Media Tools: Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout, Later, or similar
• Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop) are a plus
• Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools

Nice to Have

• Motion graphics or basic animation experience (After Effects)
• Experience working with influencers or UGC content
• Paid social or ad creative experience
• Experience working with remote teams or international clients
