Job Description

Full Stack / Embedded Systems Engineer (Robotics & UI)

Want to work on both the robot and the interface that lets operators control it in the field?

A scaling agriculture robotics start-up is building an AI-driven autonomous sprayer designed for protected agriculture. They’re focusing on real-world autonomy in berry tunnels and greenhouse vertical crops, where reliability and usability are just as important as performance.

They’re looking for a Full Stack / Embedded Systems Engineer to bridge robot firmware, system integration, and user interfaces, enabling operators to monitor, control, and configure the robot safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop embedded software for robot subsystems
  • Build operator interfaces, including web or tablet-based dashboards
  • Integrate UI with robot telemetry, diagnostics, and mission control
  • Support communication between onboard systems and external devices
  • Improve usability for non-technical farm operators

What They’re Looking For

  • Experience with embedded systems (C/C++)
  • Full-stack development experience, including frontend and backend
  • Familiarity with Linux-based embedded platforms
  • Ability to work closely with robotics and electronics teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ROS 2 system integration
  • UX experience for industrial or field-use applications

Hybrid working in Porto, Portugal, with relocation support available

Salary €50,000 - €80,000 plus shares

Want to build the systems that make autonomous robots both powerful and usable in the real world? Apply now for immediate consideration.
