TECHNICAL LEAD
- £60–70k salary depending on experience

THE TECHNICAL LEAD ROLE:
You’ll act as the technical bridge between clients and the engineering team, translating requirements into clear, deliverable technical solutions. A key part of the role is working closely with clients to understand their needs, guide technical decisions, and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard.
Alongside client engagement, you’ll lead a team of software engineers, providing technical direction, mentorship, and support. While this is primarily a leadership role, you’ll remain hands-on when needed, contributing code and helping to solve complex technical challenges.
TECHNICAL LEAD ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven background in hands-on software development
- Experience leading or mentoring software engineers
- Strong ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience gathering requirements and shaping technical solutions
- Confidence speaking directly with clients and leading technical discussions
- Broad understanding of modern web technologies and architectures
- Comfortable remaining hands-on with code when required
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Experience across JavaScript, Node.js, Vue.js, React, or PHP
- Background working in agency or multi-project environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and calm decision-making under pressure
