- Refactor and simplify complex Terraform-based wrappers built on cloud-native Kubernetes libraries
- Separate infrastructure, security, and IAM logic into clean, modular, and maintainable components
- Design and improve Kubernetes cluster architecture, Helm charts, and manifests
Infrastructure Modernization
- Redesign existing Terraform codebases to improve readability, modularity, automation, and risk reduction
- Implement infrastructure-as-code best practices with a strong focus on scalability and governance
- Ensure production-ready Kubernetes environments supporting healthcare and enterprise workloads
CI/CD & Automation
- Build and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions (exclusive CI/CD tool)
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, validation, and deployment processes
Security & Cloud Governance
- Apply strong IAM, security, and access control patterns across multi-cloud environments
- Ensure infrastructure design aligns with security and compliance expectations
Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer
- Work closely with a core team of four engineers and extended platform teams
- Collaborate directly with internal stakeholders for knowledge transfer and architectural alignment
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- Expert-level Terraform experience (“Terraform SME”)
- Deep, hands-on Kubernetes expertise (cluster design, Helm, manifests)
- Strong cloud experience with AWS (primary) and Azure
- Extensive experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation
- Ability to read, refactor, and modernize complex existing codebases
- Strong understanding of IAM, security, and access controls in multi-cloud environments
- Production experience supporting healthcare or large-scale enterprise systems
Team & Delivery Model
- Core engineering team of 4, with support from platform teams
- Highly collaborative, hands-on engineering environment
- Strong emphasis on clean architecture and long-term maintainability
Why This Role Matters
This role lays the technical foundation for future platform innovation. Once the new Kubernetes and Terraform architecture is in place, the organization will integrate Portal IO and internal tooling to introduce a UI-driven layer for ongoing enhancements. Your work will directly enable this future roadmap and reduce long-term platform risk.
