This role is responsible for providing web design, development, and maintenance for applications such as ThryvPay, Hub by Thryv, Thryv Online Order Entry, Thryv Business Analysis Tool, Thryv App Marketplace Apps, etc.
Responsibilities
- Designs and develops applications through timely and accurate completion of assigned work or projects.
- Collaborates with the broader team to implement new features.
- Works with and supports other applications/systems such as Thryv, Recurly, Tray.io, and ESB to provide a seamless experience for both internal and external stakeholders (Thryv clients, Thryv Sales Reps, etc.).
- Acts as point of contact for web application development and design.
- Stays up to date on industry trends and new technology.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) or equivalent experience, required
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, required.
- 2+ years of related experience, required.
- 5+ years of related experience, preferred.
- Industry knowledge and an understanding of object-oriented programming, database design and development, and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and any relative strengths and weaknesses.
- Ability to utilize various programming languages and technologies (e.g. Vue, React, React Native, PHP, JAVA, Python, RUBY, SQL, Zapier Technology, Tray.io Workflow Technology, CURL, RESTful APIs, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Web Services, etc.).
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Asana, as well as various programming languages and technologies (e.g. Vue, React, Node, HTML, CSS, SQL, CURL, RESTful APIs, etc.)
- Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines or conflicting demands, adapting to change in work or procedure, as needed.
- Programming and problem-solving skills with the ability to easily prototype and experiment.
- Strong ability to assist with abstracting the necessary technical specifications from detailed business requirements and see how that detail can broadly be delivered by utilizing available tools and technologies.
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team based on project requirements while maintaining a positive service-minded attitude in a remote-first environment.
- Experience with front and back-end web design and development preferred.
- Experience with WordPress and Templates preferred.
- Ability to travel less than 5% of the time.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required.
- Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses, as needed.
