About the Opportunity:
The organization builds enduring brands to support the work of colleges and universities. It operates a fully remote team and is establishing a Video Production Team. The Video Director will manage the entire video production lifecycle and elevate video as a core creative capability.
Responsibilities:
• Lead creative vision and direction for video projects, translating strategy and brand concepts into visual stories
• Manage end-to-end production including directing shoots, editing, and handling budgets, schedules, vendors, and crews
• Oversee post-production workflows ensuring quality in craft, pacing, sound, and story
• Collaborate with clients and account teams as a creative advisor balancing advocacy and flexibility
• Integrate video into broader campaigns with writers, designers, and strategists
• Develop and grow the video practice, contribute to new business, mentor talent, and expand capabilities
Requirements:
• 10 or more years of experience in video production including concepting, directing, producing, and post-production
• Minimum five years agency experience managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously
• Proficient in video editing tools and techniques, with interest in editing select projects
• Strong portfolio showing diverse video work across styles, formats, and clients
• Ability to collaborate effectively with account teams and translate client needs into creative solutions
• Exceptional storytelling skills with keen eye for visual composition, pacing, and detail
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Compensation:
