This role is focused on strengthening and maintaining the security posture of cloud-based applications, systems, and infrastructure within a fast-growing, high-impact environment. As a Security Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage multi-cloud security controls, lead initiatives to reduce vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to integrate security best practices into development workflows, improve monitoring and incident response, and automate security processes. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to a team that prioritizes operational excellence, scalable architecture, and secure design, while actively participating in audits, risk assessments, and offensive security engagements. Accountabilities
- Implement and maintain essential security projects across cloud infrastructure, web, and mobile applications
- Manage and maintain a Vulnerability Management program, ensuring timely remediation and reporting
- Define, evangelize, and enforce security best practices and guidance for engineering teams
- Participate in security incident management, evaluation, assessment, and testing of potential vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance monitoring, operational response, and security visibility
- Configure and manage endpoint security solutions, including SSO, Data Loss Prevention, GSuite, and firewalls
- Lead and participate in exercises such as red team engagements, bug bounties, and tabletop simulations
- Provide updates and recommendations based on threat hunting and security research
- Bachelor’s degree in Cloud/Network Security, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience as a Security Engineer in a cloud environment
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Rust
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience implementing detective controls, static/dynamic code analysis, and vulnerability remediation
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and industry best practices
- Familiarity with incident response, monitoring, and security automation
- Experience managing audits and security standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2
- Knowledge of GDPR, data residency, and compliance requirements
- Experience in offensive security testing or penetration testing
- Familiarity with fuzz testing or static code analysis tools
- Hands-on experience with AWS security tools including Inspector, Detective, GuardDuty, and WAF
- Competitive salary range: $145,000 - $170,000, with potential corporate bonus up to 20%
