The Role

We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer who excels at translating complex financial data into intuitive, high-performance interfaces. You will not just be designing screens; you will be solving intricate usability challenges related to data density, real-time analytics, and transaction workflows.

This is a strategic role for a designer who values function and clarity. You will work within a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and financial analysts to define the user experience of our core products. This position is fully remote within Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Complex Interface Design: Lead the design of data-heavy web and mobile applications, ensuring that large volumes of financial information are presented clearly and accessibly to professional users.
• User Research & Discovery: Conduct user interviews with internal stakeholders (traders, analysts) and external clients to understand pain points, workflows, and requirements. Translate these insights into user journeys and personas.
• Prototyping & Interaction Design: Create wireframes, low-fidelity concepts, and interactive high-fidelity prototypes (using Figma) to validate solutions before development.
• Design System Management: Maintain and expand the company’s Design System. Ensure consistency in typography, color palettes, and component usage across all digital products to speed up development and ensure brand cohesion.
• Data Visualization: Design compelling charts, graphs, and dashboards that allow users to interpret market trends and portfolio performance at a glance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the DevOps and Frontend development teams to ensure design feasibility and assist in the quality assurance of the implemented UI.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Product Design or UI/UX, preferably within the FinTech, Banking, or Enterprise SaaS sectors.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating experience with complex B2B applications, dashboards, or data visualization tools. (Please include a link to your portfolio in your application).
• Technical Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of Figma (including auto-layout, components, and variables). Proficiency in prototyping tools (Protopie, Axure) is a plus.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to simplify complex workflows without oversimplifying the data. Understanding of information architecture best practices.
• Communication: Strong ability to articulate design decisions to non-design stakeholders and advocate for the user experience.

• Salary: AUD $150,000 – $175,000 Base Salary + Superannuation.
