Role Overview

The Cloud Data Architect will play a critical role in designing and delivering a modern data warehouse and enterprise analytics platform for a company experiencing exponential growth. This is a greenfield opportunity supporting a SAP S/4 RISE implementation, offering the chance to shape foundational data architecture from the ground up.

This role is responsible for leading cloud data architecture design, defining integration strategies, and ensuring scalable, high-performing analytics solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep data engineering and data modeling expertise, along with strong experience standing up cloud-based data warehouses in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of a cloud data warehouse and lakehouse architecture to support large-scale transactional and operational data
• Define enterprise data integration strategies and reference architectures
• Design and implement a Databricks Delta Lake-based architecture
• Oversee data ingestion pipelines and ensure reliable, scalable data movement
• Implement semantic data models to enable consistent reporting across: (Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud)
• Optimize query performance and data structures for analytics and reporting workloads
• Collaborate with SAP, analytics, and business stakeholders to align data architecture with enterprise needs
• Support analytics enablement initiatives as part of a SAP S/4 RISE greenfield implementation

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud data architecture
• SAP S/4 hands on work experience
• Proven experience designing and standing up enterprise data warehouses
• Strong experience with data modeling concepts and best practices
• Strong SQL skills with experience supporting complex analytical workloads
• Experience designing cloud-based data architectures on Azure, AWS, or GCP

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Azure cloud services
• Experience with Databricks and Snowflake (or similar data platforms)
• Experience supporting enterprise analytics and BI ecosystems
