Junior Web Developer

We are seeking a Junior Web Developer to join our team and support the creation, maintenance, and optimization of client websites across multiple platforms. This fully remote role is ideal for a technically proficient developer who excels at working within established systems and delivering reliable, high-quality updates.

About the Role

As a Junior Web Developer, you’ll work closely with our Senior Developer, designers, and marketing team to support, maintain, and update client websites. Your focus will be on execution, implementation, and upkeep to ensure sites remain functional, secure, and visually consistent.

You’ll handle day-to-day development needs, assist with builds in WordPress and eCommerce platforms, make design updates from Figma files, and manage technical tasks like DNS maintenance and minor code customizations.

This role is well-suited for a developer with agency or freelance experience who is confident in their fundamentals and accustomed to working within defined technical scope and direction.

This position is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

• Build, update, and maintain websites using WordPress & Shopify
• Implement designs from Figma with attention to layout, spacing, and responsiveness
• Make light front-end and back-end code updates (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP)
• Manage and maintain DNS records, hosting configurations, and domain settings
• Troubleshoot site issues, bugs, plugin conflicts, and performance concerns
• Perform routine site maintenance (updates, backups, security checks)
• Assist with page builds, landing pages, and content updates
• Collaborate with senior developers and designers to ensure smooth handoffs
• Follow established development standards and best practices

Requirements

• 4–5 years of professional web development experience supporting and maintaining production websites within established CMS and eCommerce platforms (agency or freelance background preferred)
• Strong experience with WordPress & Shopify, including page builders and theme customization
• Experience implementing designs from Figma
• Ability to write and edit light custom code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP)
• Comfortable managing DNS records and basic hosting environments
• Solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with plugins, third-party integrations, and site optimization
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical direction
• Clear communicator who works well within a team environment
