Responsibilities
The DevOps Engineer is tasked with designing, developing, and implementing the essential support systems and infrastructure necessary for conducting smooth and efficient continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows in alignment with our information technology departments. Central to the role of the DevOps engineer is knowledge of tools, languages, and techniques such as IaaS, pipelines, PowerShell, and Terraform, which will be utilized widely in supporting a wide range of organizational goals and deliverables. As part of the ongoing responsibilities, the DevOps Engineer will be tasked with providing high-quality support to the IT teams while working in conjunction with other teams to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.
As a DevOps Engineer, it is essential to keep abreast of current and emerging industry trends and developments and use their sound judgment to recommend innovative solutions consistent with the needs of the organization and business objectives. The position involves repetitive analysis and critical thinking, requiring a high degree of focus, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills. The DevOps Engineer will operate independently with a high degree of autonomy, while also performing as a team player in a highly collaborative setting.
This is a 100% remote opportunity.
Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Limited To
- Collaborate with internal IT and Software Engineering teams on projects and ad-hoc requests.
- Collaborate proactively with team members while adhering to established agile methodologies
- Building and enhancing our software deployment tools and processes using pipelines, actions, and scripts.
- Building and enhancing our Cloud Infrastructure using Terraform, Azure Pipelines, and GitHub Actions while maintaining the highest security standards and best practices.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation, sharing best practices, standard operating procedures, and knowledge transfer within the team.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues in the CI/CD workflows, software deployment, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruptions and optimizing system performance.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, and GitHub, or other code repository services such as GitLab
- Experience with Terraform and with Azure services such Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage accounts, Functions, and SQL, and orchestration services such as Kubernetes or Azure Container Apps
- Experience in script languages such as PowerShell, Go, or Python preferred
- Azure Container Apps and API Gateway, as well as Terraform Cloud experience knowledge preferred
- Experience with generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot
