Position: Business Analyst

Base Salary: USD $145,200

This role is based at the Corporate Center in Indianapolis and requires on-site presence during standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Flexibility is essential, as support may be needed to align with production schedules, plant shutdowns, or other operational requirements. Occasional extended or off-hour work may be necessary.
Role Summary
You will join the Technology team within the client s Manufacturing and Quality (MQ) organization, which drives operational excellence through the utilization of technology. The focus for this role will be on Global Supply Chain processes and systems. As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in aligning business needs with technology solutions within a complex, regulated pharma manufacturing and global supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders (e.g., supply chain, manufacturing, regulatory, commercial) and IT teams.
- Ensure that technology solutions are aligned with strategic business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Global Supply Chain Systems.
- Assist in the translation of business requirements to application needs for custom developed applications and/or COTS/SaaS tool configuration.
- Leverage strong understanding of functional business processes to enable key area stakeholders to meet business outcomes.
- Align global supply chain strategies with the client s innovation and growth goals, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence.
- Partner with Global Supply Chain and Technology teams to implement integration solutions between systems such as SAP S/4HANA, Kinaxis Maestro, RiverLogic, and additional systems when identified.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional IT support to end-users and addressing their needs promptly.
- Maintain computer system validation for responsible applications.
- Deliver recommendations to implement improved processes and controls, and drive the transformation of those approved recommendations.
- Perform other duties related to ongoing delivery and program transformation as assigned by senior management.
- Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of IT experience working with Global Supply Chain.
- Experience Needed:
- Deep understanding of pharmaceutical operations, especially in manufacturing, supply chain, and compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address complex IT issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in handling IT changes, updates, and system upgrades with minimal disruptions and in accordance with industry best practices.
- Proficiency in ITIL principles, including incident, problem, and change management.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices to protect critical pharmaceutical manufacturing systems and sensitive data.
- Proven ability to work effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical expertise working with Kinaxis Maestro experience with the supply chain modules implemented/managed (Demand planning / Forecasting, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, etc.).
- Experience with ETL data systems/processes between ERP and Kinaxis Maestro.
- Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Exposure to international operations, diverse teams, global IT projects, or working in a global organization.
- Previous LEAN and Agile experience.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and compliance with industry-specific regulations, such as FDA guidelines for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Certification in relevant IT areas (e.g., ITIL, AI, Cloud, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with Supply.AI in Kinaxis (nice to have).
