Nefraxis is a creative outsourcing studio focused on game art and animation. We work with indie and mid-size game studios worldwide, helping them build visually strong, story-driven worlds — from concept to production-ready assets.
We’re currently looking for an Art Director who can take ownership of visual direction, guide the art team, and communicate clearly with clients.
- Define and maintain visual direction across projects
- Work with 2D art styles (stylized, semi-realistic, casual, narrative-driven)
- Guide artists working on:
- Characters
- Environments
- Props
- Isometric scenes
- Storytelling & narrative visuals
- Create art briefs, references, and style guides
- Review and approve art assets (quality, consistency, style)
- Create art estimates (time, scope, complexity)
- Communicate with clients: clarify requirements, provide visual solutions, present progress
- Collaborate closely with producers, artists, and animators
- Prepare progress reports and visual updates for clients
- Ensure deadlines, quality standards, and production pipelines are met
- 3–4+ years of experience in game art / illustration / visual development
- Proven experience as Art Director / Lead Artist / Senior Artist
- Strong understanding of:
- 2D pipelines for games
- Storytelling through visuals
- Composition, color, mood, and readability
- Isometric and top-down perspectives
- Ability to work with multiple art styles
- Experience estimating art production (time & scope)
- Confident communication skills (written & verbal)
- Experience working with distributed / remote teams
- Portfolio showing game-related work (required)
- Experience in Game Dev industry
- Knowledge of animation pipelines
- Experience in outsourcing studios
- Basic understanding of production tools (Jira, Notion, Trello, etc.)
