Solutions Architect for Public Sector Healthcare Transformation

Jersey (Relocation Required – UK & Ireland candidates welcome)

12-month Contract (Outside IR35) – Day Rate up to £630

A specialist management consultancy is supporting a major public sector healthcare transformation programme in Jersey and is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to help design and deliver complex, enterprise-scale technology solutions.

This role will focus on translating enterprise and business architecture into practical, deliverable solution designs, working closely with delivery teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution architectures across applications, integration, data, and infrastructure
• Align solution designs with enterprise target architecture
• Produce high-quality architecture and design documentation
• Support Agile and waterfall teams across the full delivery lifecycle
• Ensure solutions meet security, regulatory, and data protection requirements
• Engage with vendors and system integrators to validate designs
• Support cloud and hybrid architectures
• Provide hands-on input during build, test, and deployment

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect on complex programmes
• Background in public sector, healthcare, or regulated environments
• Strong experience designing integrated, enterprise-scale solutions
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Experience with APIs, middleware, data integration, and modern SDLC practices
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and DevOps
• Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills

Desirable

• Healthcare systems or large public sector platform experience
• Microsoft ecosystem exposure (Azure, Dynamics, DevOps)
• Consultancy or advisory background
• Architecture framework knowledge (TOGAF or similar)
