Senior Lead Product Designer for Consumer Electronics

Senior Lead Product Designer - Hong Kong - Relocation - cHK$55-65k per month + Benefits

We are working with a leading consumer electronics company, that is home to world renowned audio brand. Due to further expansion they are seeking a Senior / Lead Product Designer. The company designs premium high‑fidelity speakers, connected audio devices and amplifiers, and with distribution globally. The Senior Lead Product Designer will drive end‑to‑end product design for audio and electronic accessories, shape creative direction, mentor junior designers, and translate customer and market insights into commercially successful, on‑brand products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product design from user research and concept development through 3D engineering, prototyping and production support.
• Produce high‑quality 3D CAD and 2D deliverables (SolidWorks/Rhino, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Translate briefs and product roadmaps into customer‑centric, on‑brand product solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, suppliers and manufacturers to ensure technical feasibility, cost efficiency and quality.
• Research and monitor design, CMF and lifestyle trends to inform innovation and future product strategy.

Requirements

• Degree in Product or Industrial Design, with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong portfolio of consumer products; experience in premium audio is preferred.
• Hands‑on approach to developing and executing design concepts.
• Proven ability to research and understand the company’s business environment and brand positioning, and to translate market, product design and CMF insights into future strategy.
• Strong ability to connect customers emotionally and functionally with a brand.
• Excellent visual, presentation and storytelling skills.
• Experience in retail environment design and POS is an advantage (but a minor part of the role).
• Solid 2D/3D software proficiency; experience with animation and/or AI tools is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes beyond injection moulding.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; Putonghua is an advantage.

Location & lifestyle

The position is based in the client’s office in a less commercial area to the north‑east of Hong Kong, approximately 45 minutes from the city centre. The location offers access to national parks, cycling and walking routes, water sports and a beach around 30 minutes away, providing an excellent balance of cost of living and lifestyle.

Package

• HK$55,000–HK$65,000 per month
• Holiday entitlement, life insurance, medical care and company bonus
• Relocation package available for domestic Chinese candidates and international candidates returning to China.
• VISA Available, although Chinese national would be preferred due to the time to process visas.
