  • Support and troubleshoot production software and hardware (Ricoh Process Director, Ironsides, Canon Prisma, Fiery, Data Pac, Digital Manifest App, etc.).
  • Apply RPD patches/upgrades and capture logs for troubleshooting.
  • Administer RPD user groups, rights, and system configurations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, onboard new jobs, and optimize workflow solutions.

  • Support operators and resolve workflow issues in real time.

Color Management & Quality Assurance

  • Manage and maintain color profiles and consistency across different printer types (Ricoh, Riso, Canon, etc.).
  • Lead efforts to achieve and maintain G7 certification at all print locations.
  • Implement best practices for color calibration, profiling, and quality control.

Technical & Systems Support

  • Support multiple OS platforms (Linux, Mac OS X, Windows).
  • Configure server hardware for production, development, test, and backup environments.
  • Use FTP, command prompt, and remote desktop tools for file transfer and system management.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with business owners, operators, managers, and customer service reps to gather requirements and review workflow designs.
  • Define and track onboarding plans for new jobs, adjusting as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members and operators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
  • 5+ years in production systems administration or transactional print operations, with hands-on experience using Ricoh Process Director and high-speed print systems from multiple vendors.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in RPD workflows.
  • Proficiency in workflow automation, scripting (JavaScript, Shell Script), print management software, color management, and troubleshooting across diverse print platforms.

Preferred Skills

  • G7 Professional or Expert certification (or willingness to obtain); relevant vendor certifications (Ricoh, HP, Canon, Xerox, Konica Minolta) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
