About the Role
A highly strategic Debt Advisory Director role is now open within a global consulting firm’s Dubai office, playing a key part in delivering high-impact financial advisory solutions across the Middle East. The successful candidate will advise a sophisticated client base of Sovereign Wealth Funds, Private Equity firms, Family Offices, and corporates on a wide array of capital solutions. From refinancing and capital structure optimisation to debt raising and recapitalisations, you’ll lead end-to-end execution of complex transactions and financial restructurings, particularly in stressed or challenging scenarios. The role demands a strong command of financial modelling, credit analysis, and market insight, with a focus on project finance, leveraged finance, and structured finance in sectors such as infrastructure, energy, and utilities. You'll also contribute to the continued growth of the regional debt advisory practice in a fast-paced, high-performance consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on funding strategies for acquisitions, refinancings, recapitalisations, and restructurings across the Middle East’s debt markets.
- Design and recommend optimal capital structures aligned with client objectives and market dynamics.
- Support borrowers through lender engagement, negotiations, and relationship management, especially in stressed or distressed environments.
- Execute complex financial models including DSCR, LLCR, covenant sensitivity analysis, and project finance structures.
- Manage deal execution from lender identification and credit story development to term negotiation and closure.
- Work independently on workstreams while engaging senior stakeholders such as sponsors, advisors, lenders, and regulatory bodies.

What They're Looking For:
- 8–10 years of experience in debt advisory, investment banking, leveraged/project finance, or structured finance, with a strong footprint in the Middle East markets.
- Deep technical expertise in financial modelling, credit analysis, and debt structuring.
- Proven experience in project finance modelling, including DSCR and LLCR calculations, particularly across infrastructure and energy sectors.
- Strong academic credentials in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Confidence in independently leading transactions and engaging C-suite and institutional clients.
- Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is an advantage.
