Data Science Team Lead (f/m/d)

• Starting date: As soon as possible
• Yearly Salary: €90,000 - €100,000 (fixed range, annual gross)
• Stock Options: €40,000 - €80,000
• Benefits: Up to €5,000 annually

Your role

As Data Science Team Lead at Orbem, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the “mind” of our AI-powered MRI solutions. You’ll lead and grow a talented team of data scientists, turning cutting-edge research into data-efficient, state-of-the-art algorithms that push the boundaries of what’s possible. Your leadership will empower the team to make smart, data-driven decisions while driving innovation that has real-world impact. Your day to day

In Your Daily Activities, You Will

• Hire, grow and guide a team of data scientists, promoting a culture of innovation, excellence and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the long-term strategy for data science within Orbem.
• Drive adoption and enable knowledge exchange on the latest advancements in data science and machine learning to keep our technology ahead of the curve.
• Collaborate with product managers, machine learning engineers, and other engineering teams to integrate AI technologies that align with business goals.
• Direct the development of state-of-the-art models and statistical methods to enable data-driven decision making and business outcomes.
• Exemplify Orbem’s core values and lead by example.

Technical expertise

• Strong analytical skills and scientific approach to problem-solving.
• Strong foundation in statistical analysis, computer vision, and efficient ML data utilization algorithms, with a proven track record of applying these skills in industry.
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practices and their impact in AI development, advanced knowledge in Python and PyTorch.
  
  

Leadership and business acumen

• Leadership and mentorship in a team of data scientists, research engineers or ML engineers.
• Experience in leading AI projects from conception to production, ensuring scalability and robustness.
• Effective and compassionate communication with strong interpersonal skills for team leadership and stakeholder management, and the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms.
