The product and team:

We are responsible for Allegro, a large-scale application that manages offers, orders and inventory for Enterprise Telco products and solutions of our B2B customers. As far as technology is concerned, the application was initially built as large monolith application on Jakarta EE, and extended using Spring Boot microservices. It is running on Swisscom infrastructure as well as on AWS, and using on Oracle DB, Kafka and Elasticsearch.

Allegro team is responsible for the full software development lifecycle of the application, including operations. Agile teams are distributed globally, in Riga, in Rotterdam and as well as on 2 other locations in Europe. Our main values are teamwork, independence, responsibility, and open communication.


As a SoftwareDeveloper you will :

  • Develop and operate large application supporting business processes in the domain of order capture, order fulfilment, product catalogue and inventory management for Swisscom Business Customers
  • Participate in the full software lifecycle management, which typically includes refinements of new business requirements to define solution, code changes, testing and incident resolution.
  • Work on the modernisation of legacy applications and cloud native migration will be your one of your main responsibilities and challenges
  • Collaborate closely with various development teams, product management, and suppliers
  • Ensure that requirements are implemented in a sustainable, entrepreneurial manner, and according to best practices
  • Work with high flexibility in a large lean-agile organisation, based on Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

Job requirements


  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
  • Proven experience as a Java Developer with strong expertise in (Jakarta EE ) and Spring Boot
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and practices, with experience in Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar
  • Familiarity with technologies used for containerisation and orchestration, like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Nice to have would be experience with event streaming platform Kafka, Elasticsearch, Relational DB (i.e., Oracle)
  • Interest in and motivated by challenging, state-of-the-art enterprise architectures
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
  • Eager to learn new technologies, methodologies and a keen interest in new and innovative topics
  • Very good written and spoken English
