Product Designer (UX/UI) for Digital Health Solutions

At BeWell Innovations, we build digital health solutions that support hybrid care and remote patient monitoring. Our products are used by healthcare professionals and patients across multiple countries, and we take pride in designing software that is clear, reliable, and safe to use in real clinical contexts.

We are a small, international, fully remote team. We value openness, inclusivity, and thoughtful collaboration. Designers at BeWell work closely with engineering, product, and clinical stakeholders and have a real influence on how our products evolve.

We are looking for a Product Designer (UX/UI) to help shape and improve the user experience of our web-based healthcare applications. You will work on complex, data-rich interfaces used by clinicians, care coordinators, and patients, translating requirements into clear, accessible, and maintainable designs.

This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys working in product teams, is comfortable with constraints (technical, regulatory, clinical), and cares about making complex systems understandable and humane. The position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates located in Belgium.

UX & Product Design

• Design user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI for web applications
• Translate product requirements, clinical workflows, and user needs into clear interaction designs
• Contribute to product discovery by asking the right questions and identifying UX risks early
• Balance usability, accessibility, and regulatory constraints in healthcare software

UI & Design Systems

• Maintain and evolve a design system in close collaboration with frontend engineers
• Ensure visual consistency, clarity, and scalability across products

• Define and document design patterns for recurring components and interactions

Collaboration

• Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible and well implemented
• Collaborate with product management, QA, and other stakeholders
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Support iterative improvements based on feedback from internal teams and users

Required

• Experience as a product, UX, or UI designer for digital products
• Strong skills in interaction design, information architecture, and visual design
• Experience designing complex or data-heavy web applications
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma
• Ability to clearly explain design decisions and trade-offs
• Comfortable working in a remote, cross-functional team
• Good English communication skills

Nice to Have (Bonus, not required)

• Experience designing for healthcare, enterprise, or regulated environments
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG)
• Experience working with design systems at scale
• Basic understanding of frontend development constraints
• Experience collaborating closely with engineers over longer product cycles
• Familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence
