Job Description
Weve is an early-stage cybersecurity SaaS looking for a Founding Product Designer to help us reshape how Cloud Security Operations are conducted.
Cybersecurity is inherently broken, and our small, talent-dense team is passionate about solving this problem. We are an early-stage startup uniquely positioned to tackle these challenges. Our founder is a seasoned ex-Fortune 500 security leader who left to build the solutions he wished existed. As a small company, everyone has a tangible impact on how the product develops.
You'll be joining a high-calibre, tight-knit team of creative builders who have worked at leading global companies. We're product-minded, async-first, and use all the latest tools.
Work directly with the founder in a glass-door workplace. You'll see, touch and do everything around the product, and be able to expand on areas you're more interested in with time.
As the first design-focused hire, this is an opportunity to shape the direction of design culture in the company.
If you're a curious, driven creator like we are, and is excited by the prospect of building something industry-defining, we'd love to hear from you.
Tasks
- Work closely with the founder and engineers to translate complex security concepts into clear, intuitive user experiences
- Own and evolve our Figma system: from first sketches to fully spec’d interaction prototypes ready for implementation
- Explore creative visual metaphors for cybersecurity data and relationships — going beyond generic dashboards into investigative and narrative interfaces
- Collaborate in early product discussions to influence scope, priorities, and technical feasibility
- Partner with users to test hypotheses, capture insights, and iteratively improve usability and engagement
- Define and document our visual language and design standards across product, marketing, and internal tools
- Manage a design freelancer budget, coordinate and QA minor design work offloading (e.g. marketing assets, one-off design projects, etc)
- Drive and uphold a cohesive design process that scales as the team grows

Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing digital products, ideally complex or data-rich SaaS platforms
- Strong Figma mastery — components, auto-layout, variants, interactive prototypes, and design systems
- Evidence of UX depth — information architecture, interaction logic, visual hierarchy, and accessibility
- Experience with technical products (developer tools, cybersecurity, analytics, or similar) is a strong plus
- Ability to think structurally about data and workflows; you design for clarity, not decoration
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with a bias toward async collaboration
- Curiosity and adaptability — you thrive in ambiguity, prototype rapidly, and learn from user feedback
