We are looking for a proactive and self-sufficient Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist who can take ownership of our hiring process, from the first LinkedIn post to the new hire’s first successful login. Our ideal candidate has specific experience recruiting for creative teams and possesses the discerning eye needed to review portfolios and identify top-tier talent.


A Flocksy recruiter doesn't just fill seats; they build systems. You should be able to identify bottlenecks in our current workflow, create solutions independently, and execute them with precision. The successful candidate will have a high degree of empathy, ensuring that every candidate—whether hired or not—has a positive experience, while simultaneously managing the logistical coordination required to get new team members set up with our internal operations team. Objectives of this role:

  • Take full ownership of the recruitment lifecycle across all departments, ensuring a seamless flow from application to onboarding.
  • Build and optimize recruitment systems; you will not just follow instructions but proactively identify ways to make the process faster and more effective.
  • Act as the gatekeeper for quality, specifically by reviewing creative portfolios to ensure they meet our aesthetic and technical standards.
  • Work independently to solve logistical challenges to ensure new hires are fully operational on day one.
  • Maintain a human-centric approach, treating the internal team and external candidates with empathy and clear communication.


Responsibilities

  • Manage LinkedIn job postings across all departments and conduct initial reviews of candidate portfolios to filter for quality and fit.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact via email for candidates, ensuring responsive and professional communication throughout the process.
  • Manage the offer process, including drafting and sending offers to successful candidates across all departments.
  • Schedule follow-up meetings and organize the onboarding setup to welcome new members.
  • Proactively solicit necessary candidate information and documentation.
  • Coordinate directly with the People Experience Partner to transfer candidate data and ensure all new member logins and access points are generated before their start date.
  • Analyze the current hiring workflow to create solutions for any inefficiencies found during the recruitment drive.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment, with a specific focus on hiring for creative teams (Designers, Copywriters, etc.).
  • Strong ability to review and assess creative portfolios.
  • Proactive and Self-Sufficient: You are a natural problem solver who builds systems rather than waiting for them to be built for you.
  • High level of empathy and emotional intelligence; you understand the human side of People Operations and team building.
  • Excellent organizational skills for self-managing the transition from "Candidate" to "team member," ensuring no data is lost in the handoff to Operations.
  • Capable of working independently and remotely as a member of a distributed team.
  • Access to a reliable computer with a working web camera (for screening and video calls/meetings).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building Recruiting processes from scratch in a startup or agency environment.
  • Desire to continue to grow your skill set with ongoing education in People Ops.
  • A goal and project-oriented mindset.
