Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer (XMLA / Fabric Semantic Models / .NET API Layer) with strong expertise working with XMLA endpoints to extract data from Fabric semantic models and expose them as API endpoints. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building API layers using .NET and a solid understanding of performance optimization in enterprise BI environments using Fabric.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize Power BI datasets, semantic models, paginated reports, and dashboards.
- Extract and manage data from Fabric semantic models via XMLA endpoints.
- Build and maintain a scalable API layer in .NET (C#) to serve BI and integration needs.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Fabric workspaces leveraging workspace monitoring and fabric capacity metrics with a focus on performance and governance.
- Collaborate with team members, business stake holders to deliver reliable analytics solutions.
- Communicate effectively with product and technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI development (Fabric semantic models, DAX, paginated reports).
- Strong knowledge of XMLA endpoints for data extraction and management.
- Hands-on experience in .NET (C#) API development and integration.
- Solid understanding of performance tuning in Power BI/Fabric.
- Experience designing and implementing data engineering solutions using Microsoft Fabric and OneLake.
- Knowledge of Fabric admin and workspace monitoring (preferred).
- Prior Experience working with Big Query (preferred)
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling best practices.
