For one of our German partners, we’re currently looking for a Senior Software Tester / QA Engineer to join a cross-functional product team building reusable web components in React.

This is a hands-on QA role where quality assurance starts already at the concept stage - not after development is finished. You’ll work closely with developers, designers, and Product Owners, supporting the entire product lifecycle: from idea and design validation, through implementation, to release and further improvements.

Rather than testing only finished features, you’ll actively contribute your QA expertise early on - challenging assumptions, validating requirements, and helping design components that are accessible, usable, and technically sound from day one.

A strong focus of this project lies in accessibility (WCAG), cross-browser support, and usability for real end users. Manual testing plays a key role, while test automation ensures stable and reliable regression coverage. Currently, Playwright tests are implemented by developers as part of the overall quality strategy.

• Participate actively in the full software development lifecycle
• Validate concepts and requirements already at early design stages
• Ensure high quality of reusable frontend components built in React
• Perform thorough manual testing of web applications
• Support and improve automated regression testing
• Test accessibility requirements (WCAG), usability, and cross-browser behavior
• Collaborate closely with development and design teams, providing clear feedback
• Work with API tests and microservice-based web environments
• Share QA knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Senior-level experience as a Software Tester / QA Engineer
• Strong background in manual testing of web applications
• Experience testing WCAG / accessibility requirements
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Knowledge of ISTQB terminology and testing methods
• Experience with Selenium (Java)
• Solid understanding of HTTP, APIs, and microservices testing
• High level of ownership, initiative, and independence
• Availability to start from early February 2026 (required)
• Very good German skills (C1 or higher) - spoken and written
• Willingness to occasionally travel to Germany if required by the client (optional, not confirmed at this stage).
  
  

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

• Experience with Playwright and TypeScript
• Interest in design and UX topics
• Experience with screenshot or layout testing
• Understanding of differences between browser rendering engines (desktop & mobile).
