Senior Software Test Analyst

Job Background

• At PeoplePartners, we match top talent with great companies—and right now, one of our leading clients (a SaaS company transforming the education space) needs a Senior Software Test Analyst to lead testing across their browser-based, API, and microservice architecture.
• You’ll work remotely, embedded in a high-caliber product team that’s big on impact and light on micromanagement.

About the Role

• This is a hands-on and strategic QA role. You’ll lead testing from idea to release, balance automation with speed, and help raise the bar on quality. Your mission? Ship reliable software with zero fluff—and have fun doing it.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Drive end-to-end testing: test strategy, scope, sprint execution.
• Balance manual + automated testing across layers (web, API, microservices).
• Collaborate with PMs and BAs to validate clear, testable requirements.
• Own test case design, regression coverage, and backlog maintenance.
• Run UAT coordination and readiness assessments.
• Apply AWS know-how across Cloudwatch, SQS, DynamoDB, and Lambda.
• Use AI-assisted tools (wisely!) to boost coverage and defect detection.
• Handle release validation, defect root-cause analysis, and traceability.
• Support incident response and continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior testers and champion quality practices.

About YOUR Work History

• 5+ years in a QA or quality engineering role.
• Strong testing experience across web apps, APIs, and AWS infrastructure.
• You've built and maintained automated test suites.
• Fluent in SQL and test tools (manual + automated).
• You’ve written clear test strategies and documented risk with precision.
• Familiar with agile delivery, and you contribute like a true team player.
