About the Role
An experienced Systems Engineer to support high-availability operations through hands-on technical ownership of computerized systems infrastructure supporting process automation and QC laboratory environments. This role partners closely with Operations to ensure systems are secure, reliable, compliant, and production-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide infrastructure support for automation, analytics, QC, and operational systems (servers, networks, storage, workstations, client devices)
- Maintain system integrity and identify performance, reliability, and security improvements
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across production and laboratory environments
- Author and execute commissioning and validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ, test scripts)
- Own change requests and actively participate in change control processes
- Support root cause investigations as the Operations Information Systems (OIS) representative
- Review and update SOPs, functional specifications, and work instructions following CAPAs and system/process changes

What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5–10+ years applying IT principles in regulated, high-availability production or lab systems
- Experience supporting process automation systems (biotech/pharma strongly preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Syncade
- Strong documentation skills (networks, interfaces, data flows, infrastructure)
- Proficiency in Windows, Linux, Unix, and Cisco networking
- Strong experience with SQL Server, OSIsoft PI, and working knowledge of VBScript, .NET, and SQL
- Experience with backup, recovery, and deployment tools (e.g., Veeam, Acronis, Ghost)
